The DX5000 Virtual Tape Library provides a wide range of configuration options and flexibility, including iSCSI and FC connectivity options and partitioning into multiple VTLs or available disk volumes. High-availability features include hot-swappable drives. And the DX5000 features Optyon hardware-based 2:1 Data Compression, a unique feature from Quantum. It enables you to back up to virtual tape at high speed, utilizing compression to maximize capacity without compromising performance.

The DX5500 includes a Guardian One-year On-site standard warranty. The warranty can be extended to three years at an affordable price. Additional service contracts upgrading response levels to 5x9x4 and 7x24x4 are also available. Professional Installation and Integration services can be purchased through Quantum. The DX5000 is supported by StorageCare™ Guardian. Guardian enables Quantum to proactively monitor the health of Quantum systems over the internet and uses intelligent diagnostics data to remotely service the equipment if issues arise.
