The DMX800 has an initial maximum capacity of 58TB and features Symmetrix Direct Matrix Architecture, a fundamentally new storage array architecture that delivers up to four times the bandwidth, five times the processing power, and ten times the cache throughput of the nearest competitor�with significant cost savings.

A modular entry into high-end storage

The Symmetrix DMX800 networked storage system lowers the entry-cost barrier to high-end storage. The industry’s first modular high-end offering, the DMX800 delivers all the power, functionality, and non-stop availability of the Symmetrix DMX series—yet can be installed outside the data center. It’s an ideal solution for data center consolidation as well as dedicated, remote/distributed, or OEM applications.

The DMX800s pay-as-you-grow structure enables configuration flexibility, allowing you to add additional capacity and connectivity as needed. And the DMX800 can be installed outside the data center, and does not require raised-floor or dedicated-cooling considerations.
